Cassandra

This piece was constructed using two different techniques. The center and the petals were forged hot and attached to the stem by drips of molten bronze built up to represent the calyx of the flower.   It depicts the dual nature of women, they are as soft and beautiful as a flower, as hard and strong as forged metal. It is a metaphor expressed through organic sculpture.
